Women’s Health Protection Act of 2025 would restore abortion rights across U.S.
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, three years after the Dobbs v. Jackson decision overturned the right to abortion in the United States and led to abortion bans in a dozen states, U.S. Representative Kelly Morrison (MN-03) joined Reps. Judy Chu (CA-28), alongside Reps. Lois Frankel (FL-22), Ayanna Pressley (MA-07), and Veronica Escobar (TX-16) in introducing the Women’s Health Protection Act of 2025, which would restore women’s access to abortion across the United States.
Representative Morrison is the only pro-choice OB-GYN in Congress and spent more than 20 years caring for patients. Since Roe v. Wade was overturned three years ago, one in three women in the United States now live under an abortion ban — and these bans are worsening doctor shortages, maternal mortality, and infant mortality across the country.
