February 25, 2025

As a member of the Small Business Committee, Rep. Morrison’s bipartisan bill will help small businesses engage in more research and development opportunities

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the U.S. House passed U.S. Representative Kelly Morrison (MN-03)’s bipartisan DOE and SBA Research Actwhich will allow more small businesses to research technology and development to help them grow and thrive.

“Minnesota is a proud home to a strong research and development ecosystem. Research and development is an essential driver of economic growth and a significant determinant of business success – but too often small businesses don’t have the resources they need to engage in these projects. This bill will expand research and development opportunities for small businesses, ensuring they can remain competitive, grow, and thrive. I am proud to co-lead this bipartisan legislation because our small businesses must continue to play a central role in driving American innovation and ingenuity forward,” said Congresswoman Morrison.

Rep. Morrison is a member of the Small Business Committee and is committed to ensuring that small businesses have the support they need to strengthen our economy and make our communities thrive. She is committed to working with both Democrats and Republicans to find common ground and get things done for small business owners.
